Did she manage to keep on the detox on a girls weekend??

Hi all :) Well, its Sunday evening and I have been away for the weekend on a girls weekend. (I tied that in with looking at the new equipment for the studio we are opening in August- keep an eye on that one!) I was without my usual gym routine for three days and was a little scared of what I was going to do over the weekend. Would I sabotage the Detox or would I be strong and stick to it? Luckily I was staying at the beautiful Bronte beach in Sydney and went for long make that LONG walks around the waterfront with the girls and a few kids in tow! Fresh air- tick, relaxation-tick, exercise-tick! So far so good. I brought some soy keto bars with me from the clinic in case I was temped to reach for the choccy. The little crunchy hazelnut flavoured goodies helped keep me full and still able to enjoy my weekend. I had the usual eggs Benedict for breakfast on the beach but held the toast and the salmon - just had the spinach and the eggs! They were kind enough to add some lovely mushrooms and tomato to it in case I was starving ;) I also had a fresh pineapple, apple, lemon and ginger juice too. Herbal teas are a wonderful treat and make me feel fuller instead of wanting that glass of wine. I also ate out every day which was more of a challenge but since Ang gave me one serve of lean lamb a week,so I used that card up over the weekend!  I had a beautiful lamb and mixed veg for dinner. All in all the food was not going to be a problem. It was the alcohol that was beaconing. I asked Ang before I left can I have alc0hol, stupid question - NO! However, I was informed that if I WAS going to then I should probably have a nice glass of wine, pref Red or a Vodka and Mineral Water fresh lime or lemon. I had both! Not at the same time but a little of each over the three days. I am feeling very proud, satisfied, happy and renewed so far.My digestive system has been making all kinds of noises as it removes all the ****- literally! I dont feel hungry- for a change. My skin looks brighter and I sleep better and dont need as much sleep!  I am staying positive and I have almost completed week one. Keep an eye out for more to follow and I will be re doing some of the tests at the end of week to to see how I am going- really see you soon, Jodes
