We use TGA approved Practitioner-only candles as they are handmade locally in Melbourne and blessed before being shipped to us. They are, from our experience, the only candles that truly work. Candling is a very holistic treatment as it focuses on letting go of blockages within the body, both physically and emotionally. Commonly, candling is done on the ears to remove excess wax, but your practitioner may also suggest body candling depending on your concerns. Contact the team to find out more information and have a discussion to see which type of candling is best for you.
HOW IS EAR CANDLING DONE?
Practitioner-only (30 cms) length hollow candles are inserted through a hole in a small cone specially designed to fit comfortably in the ear. The candle is lit at the opposite end. This creates a low-level vacuum that draws ear wax and other debris out of the ear and into the hollow candle. After the procedure, a dark, waxy substance may be found as the therapist empties the candle contents onto a tissue for you to see. Many people find it to be a satisfying procedure as they can visually see all the excess wax they were carrying around. Ear candling is also very beneficial for sinus congestion and many people say they can hear and breathe more easily after a treatment. You should not feel any pain from the treatment, just a hissing noise and a warm feeling from your ear.
What comes out of the ear looks like curry powder and toffee. This is excess wax produced by the ear and mucus. View video here.
Due to recent changes within the Therapeutic Goods Act, all Ear Candle Manufacturers must be registered on the ARTG List. As our supplier and our company abide by these rules and regulations, you can be comfortable to know that our candles are safe to use. Our candles are practitioner-only, meaning only those who have been specifically trained at Complete Health and Harmony in Victoria are able to purchase and use these candles. This ensures that safety standards are always met and that you can be assured that you practitioner is highly qualified.
