Warsan Mohamud – Massage Therapist

Warsan has been practicing Massage Therapy in Melbourne for the past 5 years. She started her career working as a mobile massage therapist working with women of diverse backgrounds.

Warsan decided to become a massage therapist because she loves helping people. She find’s such fulfillment knowing she has made a different in helping her clients feel better. She is passionate about helping others create a healthy balance in their lives, particulary by relieving pain and stress. She likes incorporating essential oils into her relaxation massage, myofascial release, deep tissue work, and trigger point therapy. Combining these different techniques makes for a relaxing, yet effective massage in relieving tight muscles from every day use or injuries from overuse.

In 2016, she was invited to take part in the Annual East Africal Expo where she appeared on SBS Somali Radio, with the opportunity to talk about her business. This helped her raise awareness of the benefits of health and self-care and also the benefits of seeing an Allied Health Professional for pain managment.

In her free time Warsan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and is an avid traveller.

  • Diploma of Massage Therapy (expected completion August 2017)
  • Certificate 4 in Massage Therapy Practice
  • Certified AromaTouch Technique
  • Current First Aid
  • Member of Massage & Myotherapy Association (AAMT)
